DEAN
OF STUDENTS OFFICE ADVISORY GROUP
PURPOSE
The purpose of the advisory group is for
Dean of Students staff to provide
information, communicate priorities,
and discuss plans with representative
students, and to receive student
input and feedback concerning campus
climate, student engagement, and the
goals and effectiveness of the services
and programs of the office including
the distinct units of which it is
comprised.
HEARING
FROM STUDENTS
Composition and Selection:
The Dean will invite participants based on previous
participation or expressed interest.
Nominations
of potential participants are encouraged
from departments, units and student organizations.
Individuals may also apply.
Organization:
The Dean, Associate Dean and other administrative
staff appropriate to the group topic
will participate in each session. Additional
individuals from across the University may
attend as invited guests.
Approximately six
meetings will be held during the 2006-7
academic year, beginning in September.
One-year terms for participants may
be renewed.
Evaluation:
Evaluation will occur in each term.
